Cranston- Rolfe Square-12/26/08 : Shortly after shift change on the morning of December 26,2008, Cranston firefighters responded to a building fire in the area of 94 Rolfe Square.  As Engine 2 and the Special Hazards pulled out of quarters, they could see a large column of black smoke and knew they had work.  On arrival, they found heavy fire on all three floors of an occupied structure.  One occupant was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.  The cause of the fire is ynder investigation.

Providence-2nd Alarm, 36 Sumter Street-11/28/08 : For the second time in several hours, Providence firefighters responded to 36 Sumter Street for a building fire.  The second time, Engine 10 arrived to find heavy fire showing from the second and third floors of the house.  Companies quickly stretched lines in attempt to knock the fire down.  As fire broke through the roof, Battalion 2 transmitted a second alarm and ordered the two tower ladders to set up for outside operations.  Interior companies began to get a hold on the fire and the outside attack was never needed.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Providence- Leslie Drive-11/05/08 : Around 1215 on the afternoon of November 5, 2008 the Providence Fire Department dispatched Engines 15, 14,12, Ladders 3 and 2 and Battalion 2 to 44 Leslie Drive for smoke coming from the house.  On arrival, Engine 15 reported smoke showing from the attic of a 1-story ranch style home.  Companies had the fire knocked down within 10 minutes.

Baltimore- North Patterson Park- 7/25/08 : Around 220AM, on the morning of July 25, 2008, Baltimore City firefighters responders to 830 North Patterson Park for a dwelling fire.  On arrival, Truck 15 had fire showing from the first floor of a 2-story, vacant, middle of the group dwelling.  The fire extended to the second floor and was quickly knocked down.  No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

Cranston- 628 Dyer Ave.-6/15/08 : On the afternoon of June 15, 2008, the Cranston Fire Department began receiving calls for a building fire at 628 Dyer Avenue.  On arrival, Engine 3 had heavy smoke showing from a one story commercial, store front church.  Engine 3 stretched in and quickly knocked down the fire.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

West Warwick- 3rd Alarm, 72 Washington St.-5/31/08 : Around 9pm, on the night of May 31, 2008, the West Warwick FD began receiving calls for a building fire in the area of 72 Washington Street.  On arrival, Engine 1 found heavy smoke showing from a block long vacant, mixed occupancy building.  Members stretched in and began knocking down fire before heavy fire took hold of the loft and crews were ordered out.  Numerous outside lines were deployed, including two tower ladders and several large master streams.  Firefighters were able to keep the fire out of a nearby church and apartment house.  Mutual aid from Warwick and Cranston assisted West Warwick in bringing the fire under control.

Providence- 3rd Alarm, Westminster St.-5/3/08 : Shortly after 4pm, on the afternoon of May 3, 2008, Providence firefighters transmitted a second alarm on arrival of a well involved vacant home on Westminster Street, in the Olneyville section of the city.  Heavy fire and smoke was issuing from the front and side of the building.  Defensive operations were immediately established in order to protect nearby exposures.  A third alarm was transmitted shortly afterwards as firefighters stretched numerous handlines and placed several tower ladders and ladder pipes into service.

Providence- 2 Alarms, Chalkstone Ave- 2/17/08 : On the morning of February 17, 2008, Providence firefighters responded to the 1100 block of Chalkstone Avenue for a building fire.  On arrival, Engine 15 had heavy fire showing from a one story commercial restaurant with a three story attached dwelling.  A second alarm was requested as firefighters began attacking the fire.   The fire was brought under control within one hour.

Jersey City- Montecello and Communipaw- Auto Fire : On the evening of January 16, 2008, Jersey City Squad 4 and Ladder 12 were dispatched to Montecello and Communipaw for a car fire.  This location is directly opposite the quarters of Squad 4 and Rescue 1.  As the firehouse door was going up, a person appeared and said someone was burned in the fire.  Rescue 1 took in the fire but no victims were found to be injured.
