One firefighter was injured fighting a fire at 934 Comm Ave. in Newton. Firefighters responded for a reported building fire shortly after noon on March 29. They found heavy fire showing from the top floor of a large 2.5 story house. The house was set a ways back from the street and long hose stetches were required. The fire went to 3 alarms before being brought under control.
