On Easter night, April 8, 2007, the Cranston Fire Department responded to Scenic Drive for a house fire. On arrival, Engine 5 found heavy fire showing from a one story ranch style house. Engine 5 stretched in and confined the fire to one rear bedroom. One occupant of the house was home at the time of the fire but had escaped prior to the arrival of the FD.
