On the cold night of November 19, 2007, the Providence Fire Department responded to 209 Regent Ave for a reported house fire with people trapped. On arrival, Engine 15 reported a heavy smoke condition and transmitted the Code Red. They reported that everyone was out of the house. Battalion 2 arrived and reported that they had heavy fire on the third floor of a 3-story occupied dwelling. He initially called for an extra engine and truck but as companies opened the roof, fire was discovered in the attic and a second alarm was transmitted. At least one person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
