On the afternoon of November 24, 2007, the Cranston FD began receiving calls for a building fire at 955 Dyer Avenue. On arrival, heavy fire was showing from the second floor of an occupied 2-story apartment building. A second alarm was immediately called by the incident commander. Engine 3 advanced a line into the fire apartment and quickly knocked the fire down. Additional lines were stretched and all fire extension was extinguished. In all, 2 apartments were destroyed and 10 were damaged.
