Shortly after 4 pm, on the night of January 2, 2008, Manhattan dispatchers transmitted box 816 for a fire in a bar at 10th and West 45. Ladder 35 arrived first and transmitted the 10-75 for a fire on the first floor of the bar. The fire possibly originated in the duct work of the bar and extended upwards. The all hands was given as well as a request for 2 extra trucks. As smoke began showing from the upper floors, Division 3 transmitted the 2nd alarm with an additional 2 trucks above the second. At least one firefighter was injured fighting this fire.
