On the morning of February 17, 2008, Providence firefighters responded to the 1100 block of Chalkstone Avenue for a building fire. On arrival, Engine 15 had heavy fire showing from a one story commercial restaurant with a three story attached dwelling. A second alarm was requested as firefighters began attacking the fire. The fire was brought under control within one hour.
