On the morning of March 22, 2020, the Cranston Fire Department responded to Byron Street for a reported bedroom fire. On arrival, Engine 3 reported nothing showing from the exterior. Once inside, companies encountered a heavy smoke condition on the second floor and transmitted a code red. Members of Ladder 3 vented the roof, while Engine 3 searched for the main body of fire. Once found, the fire was quickly extinguished. All searched were negative.
