On the afternoon of May 5th, 2020, the Cranston Fire Department sent units to Wilbur Avenue for a trench collapse, with a victim pinned underneath a boulder. On arrival, Rescue 6 reported a person in a trench, pinned under a boulder but breathing and able to talk to them. It took firefighters using special equipment, approximately 70 minutes to remove the individual. He was conscious and alert when removed.
