On the afternoon of March 15, 2020, the Providence Fire Department responded to 111 Plainfield Street for a building fire. On arrival, companies found heavy smoke showing from the rear of a multi-use building. The fire appeared to have started on the outside and spread to the building. Two alarms were required to bring the fire under control.
