On the afternoon of March 22, 2020, a still box went out in Providence for a house fire on Friendship Street. Enroute, Engine 3 reported smoke from a distance and once on scene, they reported fire showing from the basement of a vacant house. Once inside, companies found the fire had spread to the upper floors and a second alarm was transmitted. Multiple lines were stretched and operated and companies were able to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
