On what turned out to be a busy 4th of July, Providence firefighters responded to Langdon Street for a house fire. On arrival, Engine 12 reported heavy fire from the porch and attic of an occupied house. Lines were stretched and operated but due to advanced fire conditions, the IC withdrew interior companies and went to exterior operations. After the fire was knocked down, crews re-entered and knocked down remaining pockets of fire.
