On the morning of January 02, 2020, the Providence Fire Department was dispatched to Plain Street for a basement fire. On arrival, Engine 10 reported nothing showing. Once inside, they found a heavy smoke condition on the first floor and transmitted the working fire. Companies found a fire in the basement and quickly knocked it down. Everyone had made it out of the house and no injuries were reported.
