Shortly before noon, on May 8th, 2020, the Providence Fire Department sent East Side companies to Transit Street for a house fire. On arrival, Engine 9 reported smoke showing from an occupied three story house. The fire appeared to be on the third floor and two lines were stretched to that area. All searches were negative and the cause is under investigation.
